DONE ALL YOU CAN DO

Ever get to the place you just don't know what else to do?  Certain situations in your life  overwhelming?  Worked and worked on trying to fix something or someone?  I am the type of person who believes in hanging in there.  Don't ever give up! Keep trying there is a solution somewhere, someway.

There comes a time tho where we really can't do anymore.  Below is a conversation I had with someone when I was going through a tough time.

Sandra, have you done all you know to do?

Yes.

Is there anything more you can do about the situation?

No.

Well then,  you have done all you know to do.  You can not do anything else.  So stop worrying about it; there is nothing left to do.

This is not an excuse to be lazy and not try anymore or to keep learning.  I am forever working on solutions but sometimes we just have to realize for the moment we've Done All We Can Do.

My Something Wonderful for TodayRest, for I have done all I know to do.

"We just looovvveeee you!"

Sometimes you never know when what you say can make a huge difference in someones life.  Several years ago I was teaching piano at a private school and the grandparents of three of my students (all siblings) would come by to pick up their grandchildren due to dentist appointments, etc...  Since this was during school hours, they would see me walking down the hall to get another student for music.

The grandmother continually would say to me, "We just looovvveeee you!"  What she didn't know at the time was that I was very ill and was going to have to stop teaching at the school.  She decided to bring her grandchildren to my home so they could continue to have music lessons.  I continued to get worse so my lovely daughter took over and became the primary piano teacher.  That gave me time to visit with this lovely lady.

Melissa and I have become great friends.  I have since had surgery and am doing better.  I have told her but am not sure just how much she comprehends how her telling me I was loved made such a difference.

My Something Wonderful for today: The words, "We just looovvveee you."
